Monsoon calls for refreshing weekend getaways and adventurous treks. So how about a quick Sunday sojourn where you don’t only trek but also learn something new about the geography of the place ? How about trekking with a Geographer and learning, experiencing and seeing everything a little differently ?

Sarasgad is a hill fort near Pali in Maharashtra with an elevation of 490 metres.  It can be identified by its four pinnacles and thus was mainly used to keep watch on the surrounding region. There are a few caves, water tanks and a Shiv temple at the top of the fort. Once at the top, you can enjoy beautiful panaromic views and identify other nearby forts easily. The climb is an easy one that can be completed in 1.5-2 hours while enjoying the beauty of the nature around.
